Code of honor

Code of honor

Preamble

The Cannabis Social Club Dortmund e.V. is committed to the responsible and respectful use of cannabis. As members and employees of the association, we undertake to observe and live by the following principles.

This code of honor serves as a binding guideline for our actions within the association and the community. It forms the ethical and moral basis of our coexistence. By signing the declaration of membership, every member and every employee undertakes to respect and consistently implement these principles at all times.

Violations of the Code of Honor will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and may result in disciplinary action, including a warning, temporary suspension or complete expulsion from the association, depending on the severity.

Together, we are committed to a respectful, safe and responsible cannabis culture based on the values of transparency, integrity, knowledge and prevention.

1. no transfer to third parties

Cannabis products grown within the association or acquired through membership are for personal use only. Transfer to third parties, whether for payment or free of charge, is strictly prohibited, as this undermines the principles of responsible consumption and safety. Each member undertakes to consume the cannabis products received exclusively for their own use and to keep them safe from access by third parties. Violations of this principle are considered serious and will inevitably lead to expulsion from the association after a thorough examination by the board.

2. protection of children and young people

The comprehensive protection of minors is a top priority for our association. Under no circumstances may cannabis be given, sold or consumed in the presence of children or young people under the age of 18. This strict principle serves the proactive protection of minors, the prevention of addiction and the avoidance of negative effects on the physical and mental development of young people. Anyone caught supplying cannabis to children or young people is not only breaking the law, but also disregarding the fundamental values of our association. Such behavior is considered absolutely unacceptable and will result in immediate expulsion from the association and immediate reporting to law enforcement.

3. theft

Theft within the association or its premises is a serious breach of trust that damages the sense of community and will not be tolerated. Respect for the property of other members and for club property is essential for harmonious coexistence. This also includes not appropriating other members' cannabis products without permission. Anyone caught stealing cannabis will face immediate expulsion from the club as well as criminal prosecution. The Executive Board also reserves the right to assert claims for damages and to press criminal charges.

4. consumption regulations

In order to positively shape the public perception of our club, maintain good neighborly relations and avoid conflicts with the law, the consumption of cannabis is prohibited within a radius of 100m around the clubhouse. Please note that failure to observe these minimum distances may result in severe fines from the public order office and the police. We therefore strongly recommend that you pay attention to where you consume. In the event of repeated or serious violations of the consumption regulations, the board reserves the right to take disciplinary measures up to and including expulsion from the club.

5. no consumption in our club rooms

The consumption of any drugs - including alcohol, cannabis and other illegal substances - is strictly prohibited within the club premises by law alone. Our clubhouse serves as a place for sober exchange, advice and the provision of information. Our club is exclusively committed to the responsible use of cannabis. Anyone who violates this prohibition not only endangers their own health and that of others present, but also risks legal consequences for the entire club. Violations are therefore punishable by severe fines of at least EUR 500 and immediate expulsion from the club. The Executive Board also reserves the right to take civil action in the event of personal injury or damage to property. We also reserve the right to report violations to the police. A zero-tolerance policy is essential for the credibility and integrity of our association.

6. non-violence

Violence in any form - be it physical, verbal or psychological - is not accepted in our club. We focus on peaceful conflict resolution, respectful communication and harmonious coexistence. This also includes dealing with differences of opinion objectively and with respect for the other person. Insults, threats or physical assaults are absolutely unacceptable and will result in immediate expulsion from the club. In the event of criminally relevant incidents, we will also immediately report them to the relevant law enforcement authorities. We do not tolerate any form of violence and actively contribute to a peaceful environment.

7. no sexual harassment

Sexual harassment in any form is not tolerated in our association. This includes unwanted sexual advances, lewd comments, inappropriate touching or any other behavior that could be perceived as sexually assaultive or inappropriate. We are committed to providing an environment in which all members and employees feel safe, respected and protected in their personal integrity at all times. Any reports of sexual harassment are taken seriously by the Executive Board, treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly. Those affected receive all necessary support and protection. Depending on its severity, assaultive behavior will be punished with consequences up to and including immediate expulsion from the association and criminal charges. We do not tolerate any form of sexual harassment and are actively committed to respectful interaction.

8. zero tolerance of discrimination

Racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, antiziganism, right-wing extremism and any other form of discrimination based on origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age or disability are in stark contrast to our association's values and will not be tolerated in any way. We see diversity as an enrichment and promote inclusive cooperation based on mutual respect and appreciation. Discriminatory behavior, whether through statements or actions, will lead to immediate expulsion from the association. We also reserve the right to report any incidents that are relevant under criminal law. Every member is requested to report discriminatory incidents to the Executive Board and to actively oppose any form of exclusion.

9. respect

All members and employees of our association are to be treated with respect and dignity - regardless of their position, contribution status or length of membership. Respectful and polite interaction at eye level is essential for a trusting relationship. This also includes respecting the privacy and personal boundaries of others, keeping confidential information to yourself and arguing objectively instead of insulting. Disrespectful behavior such as shouting, exposing or taking people by surprise will not be tolerated and, depending on the severity, will be punished with consequences up to and including expulsion from the club. We are a community in which everyone is welcome and should feel comfortable.

10 Criminal activities

Criminal activities are fundamentally at odds with the aims of our association and are strictly prohibited. We expressly distance ourselves from any criminal acts and violations of the law. Should a member violate this prohibition, this will lead to immediate expulsion from the association. In addition, we consistently report criminal acts to the relevant law enforcement authorities. Our association stands for transparency and integrity. Illegal activities have no place in our community.

11. order and cleanliness

The premises of our club are a common asset that must be treated carefully and with care. All members are required to leave the club rooms clean and tidy, dispose of garbage properly and report any damage immediately. This also includes taking items back with them and washing used dishes. Gross violations of the house rules, such as willful soiling or vandalism, will be punished with a fine and, in the event of a repeat offense, with a temporary or permanent ban from the club. Every member shares responsibility for the cleanliness and integrity of our premises.

12. weapons ban

The carrying of weapons of any kind - including firearms, cutting and stabbing weapons and irritant gas - is strictly prohibited in the club rooms and at club events. Our club should be a place of safety and peaceful coexistence. Weapons have no place there, as they incite fear and aggression and pose a considerable danger to life and limb. Anyone who violates the ban on weapons will be expelled from the premises immediately and sanctioned with an immediate, permanent exclusion from the club. We will also file a report with the police in all cases. Every member is requested to report violations of the weapons ban to the board or the club supervisor immediately and thus actively contribute to the safety of all.

13. communication

Discussions and exchanges of opinions in our association should always take place objectively, respectfully and within an appropriate framework. This includes letting each other finish speaking, formulating criticism constructively and discussing controversial points of view calmly. Verbal aggression such as shouting, insulting or threatening is unacceptable and will be punished with warnings, temporary suspensions or complete exclusion from the club, depending on the severity. The same applies to defamatory behavior or the dissemination of false information about the association or individual members. We want to foster a culture of open, honest exchange in which everyone can get involved without fear of reprisals. In the event of conflicts, the Executive Board can be called upon to act as a neutral mediator.

14. access regulation

Our club rooms are reserved exclusively for members of the Cannabis Social Club Dortmund e.V.. Guests may only be admitted if accompanied and with the written permission of the Executive Board, and must identify themselves and sign a guest list. Non-members are not allowed to enter the club rooms on their own. We want to protect the privacy and security of our members and prevent unauthorized access to cannabis products. Violations of the access regulations will be sanctioned with a ban from the premises and, in the event of a repeat offense, with a temporary or permanent ban from the club. Members who grant access to unauthorized persons must also expect consequences up to and including expulsion from the club.

15. conflict management

Where possible, personal conflicts and disputes between individual members should be resolved independently and outside the club premises. They must not be brought into club life in order to avoid creating a toxic atmosphere and harming others. In the event of conflicts that disrupt the peace of the club, the Executive Board must be consulted. The Board offers mediation and support in constructive conflict resolution. If no agreement can be reached, the Executive Board reserves the right to allocate separate times of use for the club rooms to the conflicting parties or, in extreme cases, to ban them from the premises. We want to promote harmonious coexistence in which conflicts are resolved without violence and with respect for all parties involved.

16. privacy

To protect the privacy and personal rights of our members, photo, video and audio recordings are strictly prohibited within the club premises. Violations of this prohibition will be punished with a fine of up to EUR 1,000 and immediate expulsion from the association. We also reserve the right to take legal action if unauthorized recordings are distributed or published. Every member has the right to their own image and to informational self-determination. This right must be respected. Photographs and film recordings will only be made at association events after prior notification and with the opportunity to object.

17. data protection

The Cannabis Social Club Dortmund e.V. undertakes to handle the personal data of its members carefully and confidentially in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only collect, store and process data that is absolutely necessary for the work of the association and member administration. This data is used exclusively within the association and is not passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so. Every member has the right to information, correction and deletion of their data. Violations of data protection such as unauthorized access or disclosure of member data will be punished within the association and, if necessary, reported to the police.

18. common good

As the Cannabis Social Club, we see ourselves not only as a representative of our members' interests, but also as part of urban society. We want to make a positive contribution to the common good by engaging in social activities, raising awareness and seeking dialog with authorities, residents and other stakeholders. This also includes acting considerately and respectfully in public spaces, avoiding disturbances of the peace and pollution and adhering to the applicable rules. Every member represents the entire association through their behavior and shares responsibility for its reputation. Behavior that is detrimental to the association can be punished with sanctions up to and including expulsion. Together, we are committed to an enlightened, responsible cannabis culture and peaceful coexistence.

Closing words

This Code of Ethics forms the ethical foundation of our association and is binding for all members. It ensures respectful, safe and trusting cooperation in a spirit of solidarity and mutual responsibility. Violations are consistently punished in order to protect the integrity of the association and fulfill our social responsibility. At the same time, this code of honor is to be understood as a living document that can be further developed through democratic discourse if necessary. We are all called upon to actively exemplify the values and principles formulated here and thus shape a positive, forward-looking club culture.
