We are Dortmund's first state-licensed growers' association
As the Cannabis Social Club Dortmund e.V., we are dedicated to the safe, responsible and communal cultivation of high-quality cannabis - exclusively for our members.
Our aim is to create a protected space that combines education, self-determination and a sense of social responsibility. In doing so, we rely on the highest security and prevention standards in order to provide our members with trustworthy access in a private setting.
As a registered association, we stand for a modern and enlightened cannabis policy. Our cultivation community organizes the collective cultivation of cannabis according to the principle: by members for members. Transparency, quality and a respectful interaction with each other form the basis of our actions.
We attach particular importance to the protection of young people and comprehensive prevention of addiction. We want to improve and further professionalize our work through continuous training and the exchange of knowledge and experience - for a conscious and sustainable approach to cannabis.

Get to know the Management BoardWhat is cannabis? 🌱
The hemp plant, also known as cannabis, is one of the oldest useful and medicinal plants in the world. It was already being cultivated in China in the early 3rd millennium BC and its psychoactive properties were used as part of ritual acts in India, for example. Since the 1970s, cannabis has established itself in many Western countries, including Germany, as the second most commonly used drug after alcohol.
In Germany, the possession and cultivation of cannabis has been legal since 1 April 2024, although cannabis was already legalized for medical use in 2017. The prohibition of cannabis began in the 20th century through international agreements and national laws. Since 1 July 2024, associations have been allowed to apply to the authorities for a cultivation license to become a cultivation association. The current partial legalization reflects a change in the perception of cannabis, from a prohibited to a regulated substance.
Education and dialog 💬
We are actively committed to a cannabis policy that supports health protection. Open and objective dialog with authorities and social actors is particularly important to us. By providing scientifically sound information, we want to break down prejudices and promote a constructive exchange about cannabis.
