Cannabis Social Club Dortmund e. V. is a non-commercial association. In line with the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG), it does not grow cannabis commercially and makes no profit (§ 1 no. 13 KCanG). It sets its fees in its statutes and fee regulations (§ 24 KCanG).
Basic fee
Every member pays a basic fee of €15.00 a month, including VAT. It covers the club’s shared costs and is payable whether or not you receive cannabis. We collect it by SEPA direct debit, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, as you prefer. If you would like to give the club extra support, you can voluntarily add a solidarity contribution to your basic fee.
There is currently no admission fee.
Cost contribution for cannabis
For cannabis, you pay a cost contribution per gram for the amount you order before the quarter. It is currently:
- Flowers: €9.00 per gram
- Hashish: €15.00 per gram
Both amounts include 19% VAT. We pass on flowers in steps of 5 grams and hashish in steps of 2 grams.
No discounts, no minimum amount
Every gram costs the same, even at 50 grams a month. There is no reduction for larger amounts, because it would be an incentive to consume more. The Arnsberg District Government, our licensing authority, has confirmed to us that discounts are not permitted.
There is no minimum amount either. If you do not receive any cannabis, you only pay the basic fee.
Maximum amounts
The maximum amounts are set by law (§ 19 para. 3 KCanG):
- Aged 21 and over: no more than 25 grams a day and 50 grams a month.
- Aged 18 to 20: no more than 25 grams a day and 30 grams a month. The cannabis may contain no more than 10% THC.
The club app CannanasDE enforces these limits every time cannabis is handed out. For members under 21, this means no more than 30 grams a month and only cannabis with no more than 10% THC, at the same cost contribution per gram.
Quarterly order
We only grow what our members actually need. That is why, before each quarter, we ask in the members’ portal how much you would like to receive in each of the next three months. All the answers together determine how many plants we start and how much we keep available each month. Our cannabis keeps for six months from the day of harvest. This lets us plan so that as little as possible expires and nobody goes without.
Your order is binding. We grow that amount specifically for you. That is why the cost contribution for it is due even if you do not collect all of it. Reducing your order afterwards is only possible in cases of hardship. If that applies to you, please talk to us as early as possible.
Filling in the survey is part of your active participation as a member. If you do not order, you only receive what is left after all orders have been met.
Payment
We collect the basic fee by SEPA direct debit, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, as you prefer. You pay the cost contribution for cannabis in advance, by bank transfer only. There are no other options: card payment, PayPal and Klarna are ruled out because the providers exclude anything to do with THC, and we do not accept cash for compliance and security reasons. When you make the transfer, enter the payment reference exactly as it appears in your booking. Our system will then match the payment automatically. We only pass on cannabis once all fees and contributions due have been paid.
What the money is used for
- Cultivation: a production area of 360 m², supplies and energy.
- Staff: pay for administration, security and prevention. Members work in cultivation and distribution in minijobs (marginal employment).
- Lab testing: sample testing under § 18 KCanG; the results are on the Lab resultsDE page.
- Premises and administration: rent for the office and distribution point, software, insurance, accounting and legal advice.
- Legal requirements: youth protection, prevention, security systems and fire protection.
