The club is a cultivation association licensed under § 11 KCanG, the German Consumer Cannabis Act. We grow cannabis together for our members and pass it on only to them, for their own use and within the limits set by law. Youth protection, health protection and prevention are part of what we do.
Who can become a member
The law sets three requirements (§ 16 KCanG):
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have had your residence or habitual abode in Germany for at least six months.
- You are not a member of another cultivation association.
This means that anyone who does not live in Germany, for example visitors from abroad, cannot become a member.
You also accept our statutes, the fee regulations and our code of conductDE. You keep the location of the distribution point and anything confidential within the club to yourself, and you sign a confidentiality agreement to that effect. This protects the club and all its members.
Until your 21st birthday, stricter limits apply to what you can receive (§ 19 para. 3 KCanG).
How admission works
Step 1: Apply and choose an appointment
You apply online in the members’ portal. You can switch the form to English using its language selector. Before you submit it, you choose a date for the introductory interview. If none of the dates suits you, suggest your own and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Step 2: Introductory interview
The interview takes about 45 minutes, either at our office at Speicherstraße 100 or online by video, in German or English. We check your age and residence, go through your details and explain your rights and obligations, the statutes and the code of conduct. You tell us why you would like to become a member and can ask any questions you have. Bring a valid official photo ID; a driving licence is not enough (§ 16 para. 4 KCanG). You are welcome to bring an adult companion with ID.
Step 3: Decision and start
After the interview, the board decides. Once you are accepted, you sign the confidentiality agreement digitally and receive an invitation link for our club app CannanasDE. You set up your account there within seven days; your membership card is then available digitally in the app.
There is no entitlement to admission.
What membership costs
The basic fee is €15.00 a month, including VAT. We collect it by SEPA direct debit, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, as you prefer. There is currently no admission fee.
In addition, there is a cost contribution per gram for cannabis. The amount and how quarterly ordering works are explained under Costs.
Taking part
In a cultivation association, the members grow together; the law speaks of active participation (§ 17 para. 2 KCanG). For us, this mainly means that you fill in the survey in the members’ portal before each quarter so that we can plan. Anyone who would like to help out beyond that, for example with trimming, is always welcome.
Together in the club
We want a club in which everyone feels safe and respected, free from discrimination. The rules for this are set out in the code of conductDE, which you accept with your application. The board looks into breaches of the code of conduct or the statutes; in the worst case, this leads to exclusion.
Leaving
Membership lasts at least three months (§ 16 para. 5 KCanG). You can cancel by email to [email protected] or directly in Cannanas. Notice periods and dates are set out in the statutes.
