Our position
Protecting children and young people comes before any interest of the club. We are a cultivation association for adults: only people aged 18 or over can become members, enter the club premises and receive cannabis.
We deliberately do not do prevention work with children and young people. That belongs in the hands of professionals. If young people or parents contact us, we always refer them to addiction counselling, for example to Feedback, the youth counselling service of DROBS Dortmund. You will find all the services further down.
How we keep cannabis away from minors
These rules apply without exception. Most are required by the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG); some go further.
Membership only from 18
We may only admit adults. At the introductory interview, the board checks age and identity using an official photo ID and records who confirmed that the person is of age.
No entry under 18
People under 18 are not allowed onto our club premises, neither the distribution point nor the cultivation site.
Signs and entry checks
Signs at the entrance state that entry is only permitted from the age of 18. At the door, we check who comes in, and members check in with their personal QR code.
Club rule
ID check whenever cannabis is passed on
Cannabis is only given to members who are there in person and show their membership card together with an official photo ID every time. There is no shipping, no delivery and no collecting for others.
Stricter limits under 21
Members aged 18 to 20 receive no more than 30 grams a month with no more than 10 per cent THC. The club app Cannanas enforces these limits automatically every time cannabis is passed on.
No passing on to others
Cannabis from the club is for members’ own use only. Members may not pass it on to anyone, not even to other adults. This is laid down in the law and in our code of conductDE.
No use in front of children
Consumption in the immediate presence of minors is prohibited. Consumption on our club premises and within sight of the entrance, which under the law means up to 100 metres from the entrance, is also prohibited. Our code of conduct rules out both without exception.
Neutral packaging with information
We only pass on cannabis in neutral packaging. It comes with an information leaflet that also points out the precautions needed to protect children and young people.
No advertising
We do not advertise cannabis or the club, and we never address minors. Our premises carry no promotional signage outside. This website asks for your age on your first visit; anyone under 18 only sees support services.

Prevention officers and specialist services
Our two trained prevention officers make sure that our health and youth protection plan is put into practice. The plan has been submitted to the licensing authority, the Arnsberg District Government. We work with addiction counselling services so that help can be reached quickly.
If a member passes on cannabis to minors
Police report and exclusion. No exceptions.
If we learn that a member has given cannabis from the club to minors, administered it to them or let them consume it, we report it to the police and exclude the member from the club. In this case there is no warning and no second chance.
The law also provides for severe penalties. If a person over 21 gives cannabis to a child or young person, this is generally a particularly serious case, punishable by three months to five years in prison (§ 34 para. 3 KCanG). Anyone who does so on a commercial basis faces at least two years in prison (§ 34 para. 4 KCanG).
